Description
This pattern uses Tunisian crochet techniques and was designed to be made with a regular, short crochet hook.
Yarn used in sample:
Fyberspates Scrumptious Lace
(Merino 55%, Silk 45%)
“Goldenrod” – 1 skeins (850 m)
Wingspan: 170cm / 67 inches
Hook: 5 mm (H Hook)
Construction:
De Danann is worked in bands of Tunisian crochet lace that are built one on top of the other with a row of UK dc/US sc sts separating them. That way the right side of the fabric always faces front.
The lace work in De Danann is a simple repeating pattern using decreases and “yarn overs” to make eyelets.
Beads can be added on the final row along with a row of picots to give a gentle ruffled edge to this lacy piece.
This pattern comes with easy-to-follow charts and text instruction and links to helpful technique videos.

James –
Gorgeous shawl! I used baby alpaca and went down to a 4mm hook to get gauge. Super happy with the result.
