Construction:
Lop is worked bottom up. The first piece to be constructed is the ribbed band at the hip. This help you decide which size garment wil fit best if you’re unsure. If the band fits confortably around your hips, you’re good to go.
After that, the body is constructed using 1 UKdc/US sc sts.
Once chains are added to make the arm holes, the top takes on a mind of its own – the increases are offset in such a way as to twist the neckline as it is worked.
Hence the name – Lop (sided)!
This is an easy top to make, and a great one for those long winter evenings in front of the TV.
