Phoenix Hat

4.00

Phoenix Hat is a companion pattern to the Phoenix Shawl.
I just loved the textuire of the fabric so much I needed to make another thing out of it!

Make this hat with a regular length hook and some sock yarn for a hard-wearing, cozy autumn hat with flair!

This hat is written up to fit 21″, 22″ and 23″ heads. It would make a great “Next Step” pattern.

Description

This pattern uses Tunisian crochet techniques and was designed to be made with a regular, short crochet hook.

Yarn used in sample:
Dragonfly Fibres Djinni Sock
(Merino 80%, Cashmere 10%, Nylon 10%)
“Dragonberry” – 1 skein (380 m)

Head Circumference: 23″
Hook: 3 mm & 5 mm (H Hook)

Construction:
Phoenix begins with a 3 mm hook and a traditional crochet rib.
Once the hatband is complete, the 5 mm hook is introduced and the crown of the hat is worked in Tunisian Crochet along the hat band.

After that, just seam, gather and your hat is complete.

This pattern comes with easy-to-follow charts and text instruction and links to helpful technique videos.
