Description

This pattern uses traditional crochet techniques and was designed to be made with a regular, short crochet hook.

Yarn used in sample:
Studio Donegal Aran Tweed
(Wool 100%) 8 wpi
Colour Number “4897”

Size: This hood is designed to fit an adult.
Yarn Requirements: 550 m – 600 m (600 yards – 660 yards)
Hook: 6 mm (J Hook)

Construction:
Duleek Abbey is constructed flat.
The cabled hood is made first, and seamed to create the hood itself. Then a layer of crochet is worked along the lower opening which expands into a shaped shoulder-covering that is worked with short rows.
