Description

This pattern uses knitting, Tunisian crochet and traditional crochet techniques and was designed to be made with a regular, short crochet hook and a pair of short knitting needles.
For best results, use a hook without an ergonomic handle.

Yarn used in sample:
Fruitful Fusion Cashmere/Merino/Nylon sock
Head circumference: 53 cm / 21 in
(detailed instructions are given in pdf for increasing and decreasing hat size)
Hook: 6 mm (J)
Needle: 4.5 mm
Yardage: 310 – 330 yards (280 – 300 m)

30 rows = 10 cm / 4 in
25 sts = 10 cm / 4 in
(Hat Band width = 4.5 cm / 1 ¾ ins)

TUNISIAN CROCHET Simple Stitch (crochet with 1 strand):
16 columns = 10 cm / 4 in
17 sts = 10 cm / 4 in

    There’s only one problem with the Ishrat I made: my younger sister swiped it and won’t give it back! Joke’s on her: I’m buying a nice hank of sock wool and making another for myself
