Description
This pattern uses Tunisian crochet techniques and was designed to be made with a regular, short crochet hook.
This is an advanced pattern. The pattern pdf is 28 pages long and contains a photo tutorial for the spiral section.
Yarn used in sample:
Hedgehog Fibres Silk/Merino Lace
50% Merino, 50% Silk
“Merlot” – 1 skein (1100 m)
Wingspan: 165 cm / 65 inches
Hook: 5.5 mm (I Hook) & 6 mm (J Hook)
Construction:
Nova is worked from the centre out. Starting with a Magic Loop, rows of Linked, Tunisian stitches are used to build up the body. Short rows in each row are used to increase stitch number on each successive row.
Then, the lace section is added to the outer edge in one layer.
